Managing Users and Teams in your SMSLeopard Accounts

April 11, 2025

Managing teams and communication across departments or countries has never been easier. SMSLeopard lets you add users to your account securely, assigning them personalized access and placing them within teams for better organization and control.

Personalized Logins for Each Team Member

Each user gets:

  • Their own secure login

  • Role-based access control

  • Visibility only into relevant messages and data

This ensures security, efficiency, and scalability across your business.

Assigning Users to Accounts or Teams

When adding a user, you have two options:

  • Default Account – Ideal for small teams or general usage.

  • Team Account – Perfect for organizing users by department, region, or function.

Examples:

  • Add Jane to the Marketing Team

  • Add David to the Support Team in Uganda

Admin Transparency and Control

Admins can:

  • Monitor user activity

  • Assign or restrict permissions

  • View which users belong to which teams

This helps you stay organized and accountable, no matter how large your team grows.

What Are Team Accounts?

Team Accounts allow you to create dedicated workspaces under your main SMSLeopard account for specific groups—like departments, branches, or countries.

Why Use Team Accounts?

Each Team Account can have:

  • Its own balance

  • Its own Sender ID

  • Its own users with personal logins

  • Its own message history

  • Its own default country code

As the admin, you retain:

  • Full visibility across all teams

  • Access to individual user activity

  • Control over roles, permissions, balances, and team settings

Multi-Country Ready

Each Team can be assigned a default country code (e.g., +254 for Kenya or +256 for Uganda). If a user forgets to add the code when entering a phone number, the team’s default is automatically applied—reducing errors.

Example Setup

If your company operates in three countries:

  • Sales Team (Kenya) – uses +254

  • Support Team (Uganda) – uses +256

  • Marketing Team (Tanzania) – uses +255

Each team:

  • Has its own workspace and user logins

  • Sends messages using its own sender ID

  • Applies its default country code automatically

  • Works independently under your oversight

Key Benefits

  • Organized, separate workspaces with centralized control

  • Role-based permissions and secure user access

  • Improved budgeting with team-specific balances

  • Fewer manual errors through country code automation

  • Better visibility and reporting for administrators

  • No more shared logins—each user gets their own
