Sender ID
A Sender ID is an alphanumeric name or number that appears on the recipient's device as the sender of the SMS. This unique identifier allows recipients to recognize who the message is from, enhancing brand recognition and trust. Sender IDs are limited to 11 characters without spaces, though hyphens (-) and underscores (_) can be used to separate words.
How Sender IDs Work
Sender IDs are used to personalize SMS messages sent from your platform to recipients, making your communications instantly recognizable. When you send a message, the Sender ID appears as the message sender, instead of a generic number. This feature is crucial for companies looking to maintain a professional image and improve message readability.
